What to expect from your first session?
During the initial session, you will meet your BHS practitioner and fill out an intake form to outline your health history and the significant stressors in your life. As you clarify your goals and intentions, your practitioner will be able to determine the best way to support your healing process.
The BHS practitioner will review your goals and as you discuss your history and intentions. The BHS practitioner will begin to read your field to get a sense of where the energy is moving well in your life and whether you hold a belief system that is impairing energy flow. It may simply show up in the energy field as congested energy, or reveal itself as a distortion that leads the practitioner to see that deeper energetic repair work will be needed.
While you relax fully clothed on the healing table, your practitioner will continue the assessment of your chakras and field to establish where your system is blocked or depleted.
The goal of the first session is usually to clear and balance the energy field and chakras and to see how your system accepts and processes the energy it receives. With each subsequent session, the work deepens in trust and safety, revealing the next piece of the process for healing support, always respecting each client’s timing and level of readiness.
The BHS practitioner begins by grounding and aligning his or her energy field and chakras before connecting with yours. This opens his or her system to receive and channel energy, not directing the energy, but presenting it to your field in a way that allows the wisdom of your body to take the energy to where it’s needed most.
While working with your energy field, the practitioner’s hands will at times rest on your physical body and at times will work above it in the energy field that surrounds you. The practitioner will continue with a process referred to as chelation, which balances your energy field and chakras, moving from a position at your feet, progressing along the joints of the legs, and later resting on or above each of the main chakras. This process brings about a deep state of relaxation.
When the session is complete, you will be invited to rest on the healing table for a few minutes to integrate the session. After, your practitioner will discuss any pertinent information that came up during the session, along with how you can best support the healing work.
The BHS practitioner may also recommend a frequency of sessions based on your current situation and goals. Clients who come to explore their personal growth or to help with stress management often find this form of healing energy work indispensable and may establish an ongoing schedule. Other clients may come for a shorter length of time to experience specific healing techniques.

What is the Difference between a Brennan Healing Science Healing Session (BHS) and a Brennan Integration Work (BIW) with a Brennan Integrated Practitioner (BIP)?
During a BHS energy healing session, there will only be a brief conversation at the beginning and end. Most of the time you will be laying fully clothed on a massage table while the BHS energy practitioner works energetically on your energy field. You can relax & there may be little to no talking during this time.
During BIW with a BIP you will be talking about your presenting complaint or other issues to be heard and reflected, to gain clarity & healing. You are still receiveing energy work mostly through resonance and intention while the BIP listens and helps you in many areas. These sessions help you bring consciousness to your limiting belief sytems and blocks so that healing can be a lasting and permanant change. These sessions are usually reserved for clients who have been working on themselves or students of the Barbara Brennen School of Healing and have some basic knowledge of the energy field (see Hands of Light & Light Emerging for more information).
What is Energy Healing?
Energetic Healing is an umbrella term for any therapy that works with the energy circuits in our physical or subtle bodies to regain balance and facilitate our body’s innate healing mechanisms. Some of the more well know therapies that fall under the heading “energetic healing” include Reiki, Acupuncture and Brennan Healing Science. Energetic healing practitioners are usually trained in a number of modalities and will combine these in their own unique way. Many combine intuitive skills with their practical and theoretical skills.
Energetic healing takes a holistic approach that looks beyond the physical to affect the subtle energy systems (meridians, auric bodies, chakras, nadias) where the cause of the dis-ease can be located. Trauma, emotional and mental stress, false belief systems, physical distress, environment stress, and other blocks to our personal growth can be stored in the energy fields of our bodies, impacting our ability to function at our full potential.
Energetic healing facilitates the healing process by clearing blocks in the energy fields, repairing and rebalancing the energy so that the body can move to its optimal level of balance from where it is able to access its inherent ability to heal itself. Energetic healing can also help identify “issues” before they manifest as pain or similar distortions in the physical body. It opens our consciousness to the areas we need to work through and heal in order to bring our lives into balance and maintain health, harmony, and vitality.
What is the Human Energy Field? Or Human Energy-Consciousness System? Or Aura?
The Human Energy Field is the manifestation of the universal energy that is intimately involved with human life. It can be described as a luminous body that surrounds and interpenetrates the physical body, emits its own characteristic radiation and is usually called the "aura."
The auric field is a quantum leap deeper into our personality that is our physical body. It is at this level of our being that our psychological processes take place. The Human Energy Field is the vehicle for all psychosomatic reactions.
The physical body arises out of the energy field, thus an imbalance or distortion in this field will eventually cause a disease in the physical body that it governs. Therefore, healing distortions in the field will bring about healing in the physical body.
The Human Energy Field is composed of an infinite number of levels. We focus primarily on the seven lower levels throughout the four-year course of study in Brennan Healing Science. Each level penetrates through the body and extends outward from the skin. Each successive level is of a "higher frequency" or a "higher octave." Each extends out from the skin several inches farther than the one within it of lower frequency. The odd-numbered levels are structured fields of standing, scintillating light beams. The first, third, fifth, and seventh levels of this field are structured in a specific form. The even-numbered levels—the second, fourth, and sixth—are filled with formless substance/energy.
What is Chakras?
Chakras are energy points along the central meridian of the body.
Chakra is an old Sanskrit term meaning 'wheel' or 'circle' and is generally used to reference specific energy centers along the body's Center. Generally, there is seven chakra point. In short, the energy is said to move in two directions at once.
The First Chakra, located between the genitals and the anus, is considered the root chakra and is associated with the connection to Earth, security, foundation, and basic rootedness. It is also sometimes considered a place of potentiality and beginnings.
The Second Chakra, also known as the sacral chakra, is located at the groin and is associated with sexuality, partnership (both non-romantic and romantic), and creativity. In some ways, it can be thought of in terms of the Chinese Yin and Yang symbol, where you have both the masculine and the feminine energies partnering together to form a whole.
The Third Chakra is located at the solar plexus and is essentially the will center. This is the place where we move our will out onto the world in order to manifest those things we are trying to create in our lives.
The Fourth Chakra is located at the heart and is related to love. In some systems, the heart is considered to have two sides, the masculine and the feminine. The masculine side (right) is about the unconditional love of others, and the feminine side (left) is about the unconditional love of self.
The Fifth Chakra is located at the throat and is about communication and the voice. This is the place of not only communication of ideas, concepts, and overall expression, but also of speaking your personal truth.
The Sixth Chakra is located at the position of the third eye and is related to sight, but also to time. This chakra is often associated with psychic abilities of various types.
The Seventh Chakra is the crown chakra, located at the top of the head, and is associated with the connection to heaven and consciousness.
What is Family Constellations?
Bert Hellinger is a German psychotherapist who studied psychoanalysis, gestalt therapy, and transactional analysis after leaving the priesthood. Hellinger is known for a type of therapy he calls family constellations. He resides in Germany. His therapeutic technique is popular throughout Europe and has been growing into a worldwide phenomenon.
Group Family Constellation in a workshop or class setting
A Family Constellation is created where members of a group are asked to represent members of a family. Everyone is intuitively placed in a position, including an individual that takes the place of yourself whereby the family constellation comes to life. Those who represent family members begin to feel out the emotions, fears, and desires of the persons concerned. Through this method, disharmony comes to light. In a very remarkable and astounding way, the true story of the family is expressed and clearly seen for the 1st time. Each of us is connected to one another at the level of the Soul. We are all connected with one another through what has been commonly called the morphogenic field. This field literally connects us all telepathically to one another and is particularly true for a family. You are connected energetically and emotionally to your family for the entire period of your physical life, regardless of how much distance you may think you’ve created. With participation by those who ‘play’ the roles of others, the family constellation becomes a deep experience. Many people report recognizing situations they represent but are surprised at how intense the experience can be Irrespective of your age, each of us is a child, and what a child wants more than anything else is to find harmony within the family.
Private healing Family Constellation Session
When you are unable to work in a group setting, family constellation sessions can be done in person or on Skype using wooden figurines. You can use anything such as crayons or nail polish bottles that can represent a family member. You may want to roll back in time and find a time you feel disharmony or stuck in your family. You will set up the family constellation in this way and then be asked to look at this constellation. We work together using words of empowerment and energy work to bring healing into the family energy field which also resides in the client's energy field.
What is the Constellation Approach (TCA)? Founded by Peter and Jamy Faust.
Please see their book The Constellation Approach: Finding Peace Through Your Family Lineage (2015)
The Constellation Approach is a school or a 3-year immersion program in self-development and expansion of consciousness through the practice of Family Constellations. The Program was developed and founded by Jamy and Peter Faust. This healing modality is a blend of Bert Hellinger's classic Family Constellation methodology, Energy Medicine and specific practices to transform and evolve consciousness. The Constellation Approach Program offers the opportunity to touch the Soul's nature and become open to healing with the ancestral lineage. The Constellation Approach first and foremost assists a person in connecting with their ancestral lineage in order to live a fuller and happier life. The Approach helps clarify, resolve, bring peace, and show a way forward. This method looks at patterns within the Family Energy Field and commonly looks at common 10 themes within the family.

What to expect from a Family Constellation Session using wooden figurines?
You will tell me about your struggle in your relationships. Then I will narrow in on where I sense the energy is stuck or not flowing. I will then ask you to set up wooden figurines that will represent the struggle in your relationships. You will position the figurines on a table that represents this struggle or issue. We will look at this struggle together and I will use a blend of words of empowerment along with energy consciousness to help you begin the healing process.
This can help you:

What is CranioSacral Therapy?
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) was pioneered and developed by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger following extensive scientific studies from 1975 to 1983 at Michigan State University, where he served as a clinical researcher and Professor of Biomechanics.
CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.
By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction, including:
Chronic Neck and Back Pain
Central Nervous System Disorders
Concussions and Traumatic Brain Injuries
Spinal Cord Injuries
Stress and Tension-Related Problems
Fibromyalgia and other Connective-Tissue Disorders
Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome (TMJ)
Neuromuscular or Immune Disorders
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
